My Progess

It has been ages since I have updated my blogger site and I have made a lot of process on my FMP since my last post so I need to talk about my development. About 3 weeks ago, I had a tutorial with my FMP supervisor to discuss my progress. At this point, I hadn't secured a location for my studio set and I really needed to find a place that was suitable. My supervisor helped me to get an area in G Block so now my set building is well underway. I have painted 2 walls in 'Tinsel Town' red paint and wallpapered a feature wall. (this is stripey red, grey and white). I have been back a couple of times to do more coats of paint as it was quite patchy at first. So far I am pleased with the results. (pictures to come). This week I feel I really need to get a move on as there isn't much time left until the deadline. Tonight I am going to be writing the script. This is a big part of the pre-production and it will be really beneficial to get this out of the way. Monday, I am planning on finishing the set. I only have a little bit more wallpapering left to do, then I need to furnish the set. I am hoping this will be done fairly quickly as all I really need is a sofa and a few 90s bits to dot around. (e.g - scooters, furbies, beanie babies). By Tuesday, I hope to do some tester shots so that I can get an idea of the best way to shoot the studio scenes. My biggest concern is the sound quality, so I will be testing a variety of sound equipment. (e.g - rifel mic, clip-on mic). These tests will also help me to get an idea of how to set up the lighting equipment.  If all goes well, I plan to shoot this week if I have time. If not, I'll be shooting on Monday 30th. This shoot should only last one or two days at the most. Once this is done, it'll be a big weight off my shoulders and I will then be concentrating on the interviews (which make up the majority of the show). I have a list of people in mind that I want to interview and will need to make call sheets to arrange this. These interviews will be shot in the Media Centre in front of a green screen. I hope to do these on Wednesday/Thursday that week. (This will depend on whether or not I can use lesson time to do this). Once these interviews are complete, the next step will be to edit! This is going to be a long process so this needs to start ASAP. (Preferably by the 7th May).
